i found the dragon
chained in a book
with torn wings
and a name no one dared speak.
i said her name.
she opened one eye
and smiled like revenge.
we didn’t sneak out.
we tore the sky open.
flew low over the cities
and bathed every enemy
in cleansing fire.
no speeches.
no mercy.
just ash where their power used to be.
they called us monsters.
we laughed.
they ran.
we didn’t chase.
we rose
above their smoke,
above their rules,
into the wild, blue nothing
where no one tells dragons
what they’re worth.
now we sleep in a cave
carved by time and heat,
the stars our ceiling,
the earth our throne.
no kings.
no chains.
no war left to win.
just her.
just me.
just the quiet after the fire
and the sky that still remembers
how loud we burned.
Delicious words!!
